Warsaw’s Downtown First Friday Art-Tober Event Happening Oct. 2

WARSAW — First Friday Warsaw’s Art-Tober event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, in downtown Warsaw.
This event features Lakeland Art Association’s en plein-aire artist’s competition and exhibition, children’s arts and crafts, exhibits by RedBird Art Studio, opportunities to meet the candidates, a live Splat Experience and more.
From 7 to 9 a.m. Oct. 2, en plein-aire artists will sign in at Latte Lounge, 108 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw, and paint throughout the day in multiple locations in the city. Judging for the competition will be at 5:30 p.m. in the courthouse square, with awards being presented at 6:30 p.m. For more information on the competition, contact the Lakeland Art Association at [email protected] or by phone at (574) 457-6085.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet local political candidates at 6 p.m. A live performance art exhibit, “SplatExperience,” will also begin at 6 p.m.
Downtown businesses and not-for-profit organizations are encouraged to participate. Outdoor racks, tables and chairs may be set up on the sidewalk in front of your storefront, or you can set up a booth on the street or near the courthouse square.
There is no registration fee for C4 businesses to participate in First Fridays. Please let First Friday organizers know if you would like to reserve booth space on the street or near the courthouse square.
