TERRE HAUTE – The Indiana High School Athletic Association announces a new schedule for running this year’s girls and boys races at the cross country state finals.

The IHSAA Boys and Girls Cross Country State Finals are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31, at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute. In past years, the two state championship races have been run approximately 45 minutes apart with awards for both genders afterwards. This year, the girls race will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET / 10:30 a.m. CT with awards to follow. The boys race will then begin at 3 p.m. ET/  2 p.m. CT followed by their awards ceremony.

Gates will open to teams and spectators beginning at 9 a.m. ET that day. In addition, all tickets for the event must be purchased in advance digitally via GoFan.co for $10 per person.

Spectators may then show their purchase verification on their mobile phone to gain admittance at the gate. No cash purchases will be available.

All spectators will be encouraged to wear masks and to continue social distancing while at the complex.

For those unable to attend in person, alive video stream will be available via pay-per-view for $14.95 at IHSAAtv.org. The IHSAA thanks everyone for their cooperation and continued diligence during the pandemic in helping to keep our state’s young people safe and healthy.
