UPDATE: Driver In Center Street Crash Died

WARSAW – A motorist involved in a Tuesday morning crash in downtown Warsaw has died.
Byron McNees, 68, of 866 N. Zimmer Road, Warsaw, was pronounced dead at Kosciusko Community Hospital a while after the 7:26 a.m. crash on Oct. 6, in the 100 block of East Center Street.
The Warsaw Police Department report did not list any serious injuries suffered by McNees as a result of the traffic accident.
Emergency responders provided CPR for an extended period of time.
One witness said she was behind McNees and headed south on North Lake Street. She told police she saw his car hit a curb near Hayden’s Laundry business.
The witness said McNees then struggled to stay in his lane and struck a parked vehicle as he turned left on West Center Street. He then headed east for one block before his car swerved and struck another vehicle that ended up on the sidewalk.
The police report said McNees was unresponsive when they arrived.
The vehicle damaged near the intersection was a black 2018 Dodge Journey with no name listed on the vehicle registration
The second vehicle, a gold 2008 Sonata, was registered to Brian Prieshoff, of Goshen.
Total damages could be upward of $25,000.
