Panthers Land Five On ICGSA Academic List

INDIANAPOLIS – Volleyball’s turn to be honored by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association (ICGSA) came this weekend, as its choices for Academic All-State were made public.
To earn consideration, the athlete must be a senior playing in at least 50 percent of the varsity contests, carry a 3.5 grade point average or better, and score at least an 1110 on the SAT and/or 24 on the ACT.
NorthWood had five of its players chosen for the list, four All-State in Ali Dutkowski, Ella Gongwer, Kendal Miller and Alea Minnich, and one Honorable Mention in Kennedy Hochstetler.
Five other area schools also were blessed with selections.
Bethany Christian had Trami Nguyen, Sadie Brenneman and Maddy Chupp as All-State and Mia Reinhardt as Honorable Mention. Goshen had Kathryn Detwiler, Megan Gallagher and Sasha Ramos as All-State and Brynn Shoup-Hill as Honorable Mention.
DeKalb had Christina Yarian, Olivia Fetter and Paige Pettis named All-State. Mishawaka Marian had Jocelyn Bishop, Mia Mencias and Olivia Whitaker as All-State. And Westview had Hallie Mast as All-State and Hannah Martin as Honorable Mention.
