Frankie Elaine Long Mitchell
Frankie Elaine Long Mitchell, 68, Rochester passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.
On Dec. 3, 1951, in Texarkana, Texas, Frankie was born to Frank and Lillie Chambers Long. Growing up she shared her childhood with a brother Jim. Frankie graduated with the class of 1970 from Akron High School. The Fulton County Community was her home until moving to Logansport in 2001.
Frankie worked in home care and housekeeping. Her memberships include the Lighthouse of Hope United Pentecostal Church of Logansport and the American Legion Auxiliary of Logansport. Watching Nancy Grace and reading the local newspaper kept Frankie up to date on current events.
Left to cherish Frankie’s memory are her son Eric D Roussel and wife Katie of Walton, and five grandchildren: Paige Roussel, Claire Roussel, Tyler Moss, Matt Moss, and Nathaniel Moss; as well as a brother, Jim Bouchell and wife Marcia of Dallas, Oregon.
Preceding Frankie in death are her parents Frank and Lillie Long, and step-father, Leon Lunsford.
A graveside service celebrating the life of Frankie Elaine Long Mitchell will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery, 620 West 3rd St., Rochester. Pastor Donny Honeycutt will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Lighthouse of Hope United Pentecostal Church, 908 E. Broadway St., Logansport, IN 46947.
