WARSAW — A pedestrian was injured after a vehicle hit her while she was crossing the roadway near Jiffy Lube, 314 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, on Monday, Oct. 19.

The accident occurred at 12:56 p.m. A preliminary report done by the Warsaw Police Department shows that William E. Young, 80, Leesburg, was traveling eastbound on Fort Wayne Street when he turned left onto SR 15.

He failed to see Tiffany M. Sanchez, 28, Warsaw, who was crossing the road from McDonald’s, 315 N. Detroit St., to Jiffy Lube, and his vehicle struck her.

Sanchez was transported to the hospital after complaining of elbow and upper leg pain.
