Richard Set For Record Finals Appearance

MUNCIE – The Indiana High School Athletic Association has announced the officials that will be working in the 49th annual IHSAA State volleyball Finals, and an official from Warsaw is on the list to work.
Dan Richard will work the Yorktown-Munster championship match to be held this Saturday, Nov. 7, at Worthen Arena on the campus of Ball State University. Richard has been designated the No. 1 official for the Class 4-A contest.
Richard has been officiating high school and college volleyball for over 40 years. He has worked 36 volleyball sectionals, 27 regionals, 13 semi-states, and this will be his record-setting 10th appearance at the volleyball state finals.
Richard and his wife, Becky, have been married for 40 years with two children and two grandchildren. He is a 1971 graduate of Carmel High School and 1975 graduate of Ball State University where he was a member of the Ball State University men’s volleyball team. He is employed as Director of the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission.
