WARSAW – Significant signs of progress are visible in the construction of the future senior housing project in the 800 block of Center Street in Warsaw.
Crews with Gilliatte, the Indianapolis contractor for the construction of 802 Center, were simultaneously pouring cement for part of the foundation and constructing an elevator shaft on Friday, Nov. 6.
When complete, the housing project will include 73 units.
On Thursday night, utility lines were removed, making it possible next week to allow for the installation of the final 80 pilings on the property.
Joe Hillyard, project superintendent for Gilliatte, estimated that work could begin Thursday and conclude three days after that.
The apartment complex will be available to those 55 and older who need affordable housing.
Those interested in learning more about the apartments should contact the developer, Englewood Group, at (574)-376-2929 or email [email protected].
