Kosciusko County Sees Three New COVID-19 Deaths

WARSAW — According to the Indiana Department of Health website, Kosciusko County reported three new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the county’s total to 49.
The county’s case number is now at 5,214, which is up from 5,022 reported on Wednesday, Dec. 2.
According to the Kosciusko County Health Department, as of Tuesday, Dec. 1, 3,088 Kosciusko County residents have recovered from COVID-19. 35 cases are hospitalized active cases, with 1,853 classified as active.
Marshall County Health Department recently reported two additional COVID-19 deaths, bringing the county’s total to 52. Both deaths occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Marshall County has 3,472 positive cases, which is up from 3,339 reported on Wednesday.
The Wabash County Health Department also recently reported an additional COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 25. The death occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Wabash County has 2,018 positive cases, which is up from 1,906 reported on Wednesday.
Whitley County Health Department recently reported an additional COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 17. The death occurred on Wednesday, Dec. 2. Whitley County has 1,661 positive cases, which is up from 1,565 reported on Wednesday.
The State of Indiana is also reporting a new single-day record for COVID-19 cases. 8,457 cases were reported on Wednesday, Dec. 2, which is the highest number of daily cases to date.
Statewide, the IDH website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 5,832, which is up from 5,688 reported on Wednesday.
The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 367,329. More than 4,464,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.
Locally, Fulton County has 992 positive cases, Noble County has 2,981 positive cases and Elkhart County has 19,020, which is up from 18,510 reported on Wednesday.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 31,027 positive cases, which is up from 30,007 reported on Wednesday; Allen County has 21,054 positive cases, which is up from 20,256 reported on Wednesday; and St. Joseph County has 19,435 positive cases, which is up from 18,319 reported on Wednesday.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 5,404,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
