Alice Earlene Rider
Alice Earlene Rider, 88, North Webster, passed away at 3 a.m. on Dec. 8, 2020, at Parkview Reginal Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Commerce, Mo. to Joseph Gilbert and Addie Mae (Vick) Kent.
She attended Northridge High School in Dayton, OH and lived most of her life in the North Webster area. She was married on May 5, 1951 in Etna, to Albert James Rider Jr. who preceded her on Aug. 21, 2017. She formerly worked at Walmart in Warsaw as a greeter for 20 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in North Webster.
She is survived by her daughter: Karen Rider of North Webster; two sons: Brent Rider of North Webster and Michael Rider of Valparaiso; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters: Helen Robb, Marie Downing, Marjorie McGee, and Jane Peck, and three brothers, Thomas, Jack, and Joe Kent.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR500N, North Webster. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Private family burial will take place in the Salem Cemetery near Wilmot at a later date.
