CLAYPOOL — A Claypool man was recently arrested after admitting he molested a child who was at his residence recently.

Thomas J. Gibson, 70, 7311 S. CR 425W, Claypool, is charged with child molesting, a level 1 felony.

On Nov. 29, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officer responded to a report of molesting that occurred earlier in the month. A child told their parents that Gibson had touched them inappropriately.

An interview of the victim by Safe Harbor Advocacy Center representatives resulted in the same claim. According to a family member, Gibson admitted to the incident.

Gibson was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 10, with a $50,250 surety and cash bond.
