Warsaw FFA Holds Annual Community Appreciation Supper
Press Release
WARSAW — The Warsaw FFA Community Appreciation Supper happened Monday, Nov. 23, with a drive-thru chili supper for a monetary or canned food donation.
The community was very supportive of the Warsaw FFA in this new reiteration of its annual event. The FFA chapter was able to collect over 350 canned food items that will be donated to local food pantries.
The community was also generous in their monetary donations, with 50% of donations going to the Warsaw FFA chapter and 50% donated to the Rob Hays Memorial Scholarship fund through the Indiana FFA Foundation. Hays was the current Indiana FFA executive director and former agriculture teacher and FFA advisor at Warsaw; he passed away unexpectedly in September. Through this event, $1,200 was raised for the donation in his memory. On behalf of the Warsaw FFA, Jacob Riley would like to thank the community for their ongoing support and generosity.
