WARSAW — Members of United Steelworkers Local 809 began distributing 350 free meals to the public this morning, Thursday, Dec. 24.
The annual Christmas Even distribution began at about 8 a.m. and will go to about noon or when supplies are exhausted.
Each meal includes ham, potatoes, green beans, stuffing, gravy and pudding, according to Local Union President Jeff Hooker.
Union members donated money and were able to acquire the items in bulk from Kroger for a discounted price, Hooker said.
