Kosciusko County Reports One New COVID-19 Death

WARSAW — Since Wednesday, Dec. 30, Kosciusko County has had one new COVID-19 death, according to the Indiana Department of Health website.
The county has now recorded 70 deaths and 7,040 cases, which is up from 6,780 reported on Wednesday.
Marshall County Health Department reported two new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the county’s total to 81. Marshall County has 4,621 positive cases.
The Fulton County Health Department also recently reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 27. Fulton County has 1,442 positive cases.
Wabash County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 44. Wabash County has 2,665 positive cases.
The Whitley County Health Department also recently reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 21. Whitley County has 2,564 positive cases.
Statewide, the IDH website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 8,150, which is up from 7,812 reported on Wednesday.
The total positive number of reported COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 529,688. More than 5,814,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.
Locally, Noble County has 4,189 positive cases and Elkhart County has 23,016.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 40,959 positive cases, which is up from 39,467 reported on Wednesday; Allen County has 28,906 positive cases, which is up from 27,775 reported on Wednesday; and St. Joseph County has 24,829 positive cases.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 351,000 people in the United States have died due to COVID-19.
646 people in Kosciusko County have been administered their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
