Marshall, Fulton Counties Report New COVID-19 Deaths

WARSAW — Marshall County Health Department reported two new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the county’s total to 84. Marshall County has 4,720 positive cases, which is up from 4,649 reported on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
The Fulton County Health Department also recently reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 29. Fulton County has 1,498 positive cases.
Kosciusko County has recorded 74 deaths and 7,327 cases, which is up from 7,155 reported on Wednesday.
An estimated 888 people in Kosciusko County have been administered their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Two people have been fully vaccinated.
Statewide, the IDH website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 8,521, which is up from 8,371 reported on Wednesday.
The total positive number of reported COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 552,594. More than 6,005,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.
Locally, Whitley County has 2,686 positive cases and Wabash County has 2,741 positive cases. Noble County has 4,357 positive cases and Elkhart County has 23,445, which is up from 23,199 reported on Wednesday.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 42,196 positive cases, which is up from 41,432 reported on Wednesday; Allen County has 29,929 positive cases, which is up from 29,369 reported on Wednesday; and St. Joseph County has 25,535 positive cases, which is up from 25,095 reported on Wednesday.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 365,000 people in the United States have died due to COVID-19.
