Abercrombie To Speak At Warsaw Church Monday To Honor MLK
News Release
WARSAW — This year’s annual event to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has been down-sized and altered because of COVID-19, but will still feature a guest speaker.
Instead of the annual luncheon held at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center, a downsized version of the event has been shifted to New Life Christian Church, 744 South CR 325 E, Warsaw.
Karen Abercrombie will be the guest speaker and will deliver her remarks at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 18, at the church.
Abercrombie is an award-winning actress, singer-songwriter, a Parent’s Choice Award-winning storyteller and an accomplished filmmaker. She recently received a Dove Award, and a Movieguide, Grace Award, for her performance in the Kendrick Brothers film, “War Room”, where she played the spicy, 80-year-old prayer warrior, Miss Clara.
Doors will open at 11 a.m.
There will be limited seating, and the event will be live-streamed on the Committee to Commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ccmlkwarsaw as well as at CCMLKWARSAW.com.
