Kosciusko Reports Two More COVID Deaths; More Than 400 Fully Vaccinated

WARSAW — Kosciusko County has reported two new COVID-19 deaths, bringing the county’s total to 77.
The county has 7,814 positive cases, which is up from 7,727 reported on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
Whitley County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 25. Whitley County has 2,889 positive cases.
An estimated 1,812 people in Kosciusko County have been administered their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. 482 people have been fully vaccinated. More than 52,000 Hoosiers are considered to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
Statewide, the Indiana Department of Health website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 8,872.
The total positive number of reported COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 583,160. More than 6,328,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.
Locally, Fulton County has 1,579 positive cases and Wabash County has 2,902 positive cases. Marshall County has 4,905 positive cases, Noble County has 4,563 positive cases and Elkhart County has 23,971.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 43,837 positive cases, which is up from 43,365 reported on Wednesday; Allen County has 31,608 positive cases, which is up from 31,185 reported on Wednesday; and St. Joseph County has 26,542 positive cases, which is up from 26,227 reported on Wednesday.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 389,000 people in the United States have died due to COVID-19.
