Michael Bradley Emel
Michael Bradley Emel, 55, Fort Wayne, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. He was born on Jan. 5, 1966, in Menden, Neb. to Cletus LeRoy and Donna Joy (McCollough) Emel.
He grew up in Nebraska, graduated in 1984 from Minden High School, and was a United States Army veteran. He moved to Fort Wayne in 1989 from North Carolina and attended Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne. He retired from Lutheran Hospital and formerly worked at Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with Coram Specialty Infusion Services in Fort Wayne and Advance Healthcare in Fort Wayne.
He was a member of The Pointe Church in Fort Wayne.
He is survived by his daughter: Nanci Elizabeth Emel, Garrett (formerly of Warsaw); son: Nicholas Michael (Ashley) Emel, Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren: Connor, Allysun, Bryice, Jacob, Raygan, Camren, Bentley and Marleigh
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Rev. Mark Emel and Matthew Emel.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-noon Friday, Jan. 22, at The Pointe Church, 5335 Bass Road Fort Wayne. Funeral services will follow at noon Friday in the church with Pastor Rick Canter officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Milford Cemetery, CR 60W, Milford.
Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
