Tippecanoe Township Starts The New Year

NORTH WEBSTER — Tippecanoe Township Board met with Trustee Chris Francis and Fire Chief Jeremy Likens Wednesday, Jan. 13. It was held in the Tippecanoe Township Building.
Three public hearings are scheduled about the proposed fire territory with the public urged to attend. They are 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10; Feb. 24 and March 7. All are at the township building.
New officers for 2021 were elected. Jim Smith was chosen as president, Ed Clayton continues as secretary and Jim Rhodes is the other board member.
During the report from the North Webster Fire Department, the board approved four new radios as well as a Ram Genesis tool for truck 72. It had a pump failure.
Meetings will continue to be the second Wednesday of the month except for December, which will be the last Wednesday of the month. The next regular meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 10.
It will be preceded at 7 p.m. by the first of three public hearings on the proposed fire territory to be formed between the township and the town of North Webster. Public input is being sought by the township board, trustee, fire chief and the town council.
The meeting will also be in the Tippecanoe Township Building, 102 S. Morton St., North Webster. Parking on the north side and enter through the township trustee’s office to the large meeting room.
