WARSAW — During a five-minute meeting, the Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals conducted the election of officers and oath of office for two board members.
Both Dan Smith and Jeff Johnson agreed to serve on the board for another four-year term.
Mayor Joseph Thallemer was present to give the oaths of office.
“I do very much appreciate Dan and Jeff continuing their service to the city. Getting involved in some of these issues is not the easiest thing in the world,” said Thallemer. “I really appreciate you willing to give another four years. This has been a very good board. I appreciate everything that you’ve done. The time you’ve spent and the time you give to serve the city and the community, I don’t want it to go unnoticed.”
After the oaths of office were given, the board then held the annual election of officers. With a unanimous vote, the board decided to retain the current officers. Tom Allen will serve again as president while Rick Keeven will serve again as vice president.
There were no actual zoning cases to be reviewed or voted on by the board during the meeting.
