Warsaw Man Arrested For Injuring Woman’s Wrist
Staff Report
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after allegedly battering a woman and injuring her wrist.
Brandon Reamer, 21, 3990 N. Meadow Ridge Drive, Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery with children under 16 years of age present and battery with moderate bodily injury, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Jan. 18, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officer responded to a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with a woman who said she went to her daughter’s residence to pick up her grandchildren. While at the residence, she spoke with Reamer about his behavior when her daughter stepped between the two to de-escalate the situation.
According to court documents, the woman said Reamer shoved her daughter out of the way and then lunged at her, shoving her backward and causing her to fall to the floor. As a result of the fall, the woman experienced pain in her left wrist and thought it might be broken. The officer noticed the woman had a swollen left wrist.
The officer spoke with Reamer about the incident; Reamer admitted that he pushed the woman “because she got up in his face.” The woman’s daughter said her mother was at her residence to pick up two children when a confrontation occurred. She said Reamer pushed her out of the way but that she was not hurt.
The two children were at the residence when the incident occurred.
Reamer has an initial hearing in this case at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22.
