WARSAW – Kosciusko County Community Fair Board plans to bring back the county fair in 2021 with a date of July 11-17.

Dates for the fair were announced Monday on the fair board’s Facebook page. Organizers are actively working on a theme for the 2021 fair. Those with theme ideas can go to the Facebook page or submit it via email.

The decision to announce dates came after the carnival ride operator told fair officials that they are planning to be in operation this summer, said Jeannette Wood, general manager for the fairgrounds.

Wood said they’ll follow all guidelines related to the pandemic set forward by the state, but that “barring any unforeseen things,” they are moving forward with plans.

Wood made it clear, the announcement only involves the fair itself and not the 4-H related activities.

The 2020 community fair was cancelled and almost all 4-H events were scaled back and not open to the public because of the pandemic.
