Area Accident Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 8:22 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, East CR 250N, east of Boeing Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Joshua P. Warner, 36, Blaine Street, North Webster; and William A. Kelly, 54, North CR 300E, Leesburg. Warner was traveling east when he said Kelly’s vehicle came into his lane. To avoid a collision, Warner swerved and went off the roadway and into a ditch. Kelly said he fell asleep behind the wheel. Damage up to $10,000.
- 5:59 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, East CR 1400N, Milford. Driver: Robert W. Hoffer, 29, CR 32, Goshen. Kosciusko County Dispatch received a call about a vehicle submerged in water. A black SUV was in water about 4 feet deep, approximately 15 feet from shore. A male and three juveniles were on the top of the vehicle and advised they were not injured. Hoffer stated he was traveling south on CR 300E when a vehicle traveling north entered his lane. To avoid a collision, Hoffer went straight, into a yard and then the vehicle went into a pond. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 11:34 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, US 30 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Steven G. Okey, 65, SR 116, Bluffton; and Randy S. Hesser, 59, North CR 200W, Leesburg. Okey’s vehicle rear-ended Hesser’s vehicle. Hesser complained of lower back pain but refused EMS. Damage up to $2,500.
- 10:08 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, Main Street, Warsaw. Driver: Ronald D. Albert, 68, Farmcrest Drive, Mishawaka. Albert’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
