Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 11:51 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, SR 15, north of Levi Lee Road, Warsaw. Driver: Peter Comer, 40, Forest Avenue, Warsaw. Comer’s vehicle struck a deer and went off the roadway, striking stones around a culvert. Damage up to $25,000.
- 7:22 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, SR 19, Etna Green. Driver: Benjamin Rickel, 37, West CR 1150S, Silver Lake. Rickel’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:42 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, County Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: Scott P. Johnston, 42, County Farm Road, Claypool. Johnston’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 5:12 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, South Huntington Street, south of West Bowser Road, Syracuse. Drivers: Fernando J. Murillo, 26, Riverview Drive, Albion; Toby R. Laramore, 35, Sir Gallahad Place, Cromwell; and Ryan E. Dunithan, 33, Harrison Street, Syracuse. Murillo said he was leaving work, was tired and fell asleep while driving. He woke up when his vehicle rear-ended Laramore’s vehicle, which was then pushed into Dunithan’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
11:10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, Dubois Drive, Warsaw. A parked, unoccupied Nissan Xterra was struck in the Kosciusko Community Hospital parking lot. Surveillance footage will be reviewed to see if information can be obtained regarding the vehicle that struck the parked Nissan Xterra. Damage up to $5,000.
