Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 4:38 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, North SR 13 north of East CR 200N, North Webster. Driver: Edna R. Cartwright, 52, North Timberline Circle East, Warsaw. Cartwright was traveling northbound on SR 13 just north of CR 200N, North Webster, when her vehicle hit a deer. Damage: Up to $5,000.
- 4:28 a.m. Monday, March 23, South County Farm Road north of West CR 300S, Warsaw. Driver: Donald W. King, 53, Woodlawn Drive, Warsaw. King was traveling southbound on County Farm Road, Warsaw, when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage: Up to $2,500.
- 4:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, East Backwater Road north of North SR 13, North Webster. Driver: John M. Miretti, 38, East Backwater Road, North Webster. Miretti was traveling westbound on East Backwater Road, North Webster. He was trying to find his face mask and went off the roadway, scraping the vehicle against a guardrail. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 22, North SR 13 south of East Old Road 30, Pierceton. Driver: Jeffrey S. Bradley, 40, Vernon Street, Wabash. Bradley was traveling southbound on SR 13 when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage: Up to $10,000.
- 7:35 p.m. Monday, March 22, 5513 N. Warsaw Oswego Road, Warsaw. Driver: Susan D. Dawson, 53, North Warsaw Oswego Road, Warsaw. Dawson was backing out of her driveway. She said her backup alarm sensors didn’t go off when she was close to any object. Her vehicle backed into a parked vehicle. Damage: Up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
2:59 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, East Sheridan Street west of North Grant Street, Warsaw. A 14-year-old driver was traveling westbound on East Sheridan Street when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a NIPSCO utility pole. The accident caused a power outage for several houses nearby. The driver and his passenger, 13, fled the scene and were located at Kosciusko County Hospital and found to have stolen the vehicle from where it was parked on the 700 block of East Main Street, Warsaw. They were charged through juvenile probation. The driver sustained abrasions on the left side of his jaw and neck. The passenger sustained abrasions to her chest. Damage: Up to $25,000.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:57 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, SR 19 between CR 300S and CR 400S, Akron. Driver: Charles L. Gerdeman, 64, Akron. Hit deer.
- 1:59 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, SR 114 and CR 300S, Akron. Driver: Mark A. McCombs, 56, North Manchester. Hit deer.
- 7:03 p.m. Monday, March 22, Old 31, north of CR 450N, Rochester. Driver: John A. Kieninger, 71, Rochester. Hit deer.
- 11:36 a.m. Sunday, March 21, Olson Road west of River Drive. Driver: Veronica R. Brissette, 22, Rochester. Hit deer.
- 8:47 p.m. Friday, March 19, SR 14 and CR 100W, Rochester. Driver: Troy E. Neuenschwander, 60, New Haven. Hit deer.
- 6:58 p.m. Friday, March 19, CR 250S and CR 1000W, Kewanna. Driver: Wesley J. Barker, 40, Winamac. Barker’s vehicle went off the road.
- 6:10 p.m. Friday, March 19, US 31 and Southway 31, Rochester. Drivers: Shane Z. Clemons, 36, Macy, and Calvin D. Ivey, 49, Douglasville, Ga. Clemons’ vehicle struck a tire on Ivey’s vehicle.
Marshall County
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
- 3:22 a.m. Sunday, March 21, US 6 and Thorn Road, Walkerton. Driver: Ethan Dewayne Caverley, 21, Plymouth. Caverley lost control of his vehicle and rolled it into a cornfield. He was taken by Walkerton EMS for medical treatment.
- 4:59 a.m. Saturday, March 20, East Shore Drive and 18B Road, Culver. Driver: Lyndsey Rae Price, 19, Plymouth. Price’s vehicle went off the road and was located submerged in Lake Maxinkuckee.
- 12:28 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, Plymouth-Goshen Trail and Hawthorn Road, Bremen. Driver: Eduardo Rodriguez, 40, Plymouth. Rodriguez’s vehicle went off the road and hit a utility pole.
