News Release
BOURBON – Triton School Corp. is featuring two speakers coming to the corporation in April.
At 9 a.m. Monday, April 12, in the Trojan Trench Gymnasium, Nathan Harmon (Your Life Speaks) is to speak. This is the second time this year he’s come to Triton. He will speak to Triton Junior-Senior High School about life, hard work and the power of great choices.
The Marshall County COVID-19 Rapid Response Committee is making the event possible.
Another guest, Becky Savage, (525 Foundation), will speak at 9 a.m. Monday, April 26, at the Trojan Trench. She’ll talk about the heartbreaking story of her two young men who paid the ultimate price for their opioid use and will encourage students to overcome the temptation that this crisis presents to the nation, community and young people.
Savage has used her negative experience to positively impact the lives of so many she comes in contact with. She is coming to Triton because of the generous donation of Marshall County Prosecutor E. Nelson Chipman Jr.
In addition, Triton is to have its second annual Triton Gives Back Day from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, April 22.
Every Triton student and staff member will set this day aside to bless individuals, community members, Marshall County park departments, not-for-profits and food pantries among others.
