PIERCETON — Pets of the Week are available for adoption at the Animal Welfare League, located at 1048 S. CR 325E, Pierceton.

This week, the AWL has not one but two special dogs that are looking for their “furever” homes.

Dallas

Hey all you cowboys, we got a little doggie looking for a “pawtner” to roam with the buffalo. Meet Dallas, a two-year-old, neutered, male Border Collie mix. Dallas has a black and white coat with brown markings. He has eager copper eyes and weighs 47 pounds. Dallas is a working breed dog who needs an experienced owner to keep him busy with squeaky toys and games of Frisbee. Dallas is super smart and knows commands such as “sit,” “shake,” and walks well-mannered on a leash. Dallas is also house-trained and must be taken outside to go potty. Dallas needs to be the only pet in the home with children older than 15 years of age. Call to make an appointment to see Dallas today. He’d love to go for a walk with you.

Dallas’ adoption fee is $130.

Wrigley

Weighing 100 pounds, Wrigley is one of the largest residents at AWL with an even bigger soul. Wrigley is a three-year-old, neutered, male Staffordshire/Mastiff mix. Wrigley’s goofy charm and puppy energy won all of our hearts and is a favorite of staff and volunteers. When Wrigley first arrived at AWL, staff discovered that he was positive for heart worms. Thankfully with the help of a local vet, staff are treating him with a six-week regimen of medication. Wrigley is looking for a loving family that will take care of him while he recovers and adopt him into their pack. Wrigley enjoys playing tug, going for walks and receiving lots of cuddles. Fluffie

Don’t let Fluffie’s grumpy face fool you. She’s just deep in thought about string theory. Fluffie is a three-year-old, spayed, female Domestic Short Hair mix. She has a brown and black tiger-striped coat. Fluffie has bright green eyes and weighs nine pounds. Fluffie is a laid-back girl who enjoys cuddles, naps and exploring her surroundings. She would do best as an only pet in a quiet home where she can continue her research into the mysteries of the universe. Call to make an appointment to visit Fluffie today.

Fluffie’s adoption fee is $75.
