LEESBURG — April 1-15 is cemetery cleanup month for cemeteries in Plain Township.

All decorations not secured on foundations or headstones will be removed and disposed of by cemetery maintenance personnel after April 15. Any faded or torn decorations will be removed by cemetery maintenance personnel regardless of location on the gravesite.

If you have items you want to keep, remove them before April 15. A dumpster will be available at Leesburg Cemetery for ease of cleanup. New decorations may be placed after spring clean-up is completed.

All grave sites should be clear of anything that will hinder the ability of the maintenance crew to mow and trim around the foundations and headstones. As always, cemeteries should be respected as sacred burial places and as a cherished reminder of loved ones.
