Kosciusko County’s Popular Lakelife Magazine Sets Sail For Year No. 2
Staff Report
MILFORD — Whether you live on the lake, plan to live there someday or just spend a lot of time hanging out at the lake, there’s something for all lake lovers in Kosciusko County’s newest lake lifestyle publication, LAKElife.
LAKElife Magazine is published five months out of the year, April – August and is mailed to all major lakefront homeowners throughout the county each month. The premiere issue debuted in April 2020.
Filled with information pertaining to lake living, the magazine features articles about water activities, area wildlife, lake town profiles, community events, lake life decor, contact information for area restaurants and other businesses, as well as summer fare recipes.
Distribution of the April issue began April 1, as we kick-off season two of celebrating the good life—and all nuggets we can unearth within Kosciusko County. All are welcome with us as we recognize the people, places, history, homes, water fun and families who call Kosciusko County ‘home.’
“We have been amazed by how well the magazine has been received by readers and advertisers alike. We have actually gotten letters from readers talking about how much they enjoy reading the advertisements. In the marketing world, you can’t ask for better,” said Steve Meadows, director of marketing for The Papers, Inc. “Over the winter we have received a good number of information requests from advertisers who wanted to be a part of the magazine for year number two and did not want to miss out on reaching the very attractive niche audience LAKElife serves.
At LAKElife Magazine, we celebrate the lakes, our communities within Kosciusko County, lake friends, natural beauty, good food, and treasured family. Does it get any better? We recognize life’s simplicities and the magazine has been created for our readers. We offer several interactive platforms that help keep us engaged with our readers, which makes this such an amazing, fulfilling and fun journey.
“We are thrilled to kick-off Season Two of LAKElife Magazine,” said Sue Rawlinson-Pais, executive editor of the publication and long-time publishing voice throughout our region. “After enduring the challenges we’ve all faced in the past year, it’s even more exciting and important to celebrate positivity, family and togetherness this season. We have so many exciting plans in place… and we welcome any and all to join along on the journey.”
For those not living on a lake, there are dozens of newsstand locations throughout the county where the magazine is available. Subscriptions for home delivery are available as well. A subscription page and form can be found on the new website or within each issue during the 2021 season.
“We are delighted to be able to expand LAKElife onto our digital platform with the launch of our new website. Whereas the magazine is only available five months of the year, our digital presence is available every day of the year with relevant lake life content for visitors to enjoy all year long,” Meadows said. “We are so thankful to be able to serve the lake-loving community and advertisers with this publication.”
