Two People Seriously Injured In Early Morning Crash Near Sidney

SIDNEY — The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three-vehicle crash involving two cars and a semi-truck at 6:20 a.m. Thursday, April 8, on SR 14 at South Packerton Road, southwest of Sidney.
According to information provided by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, the two cars were traveling west on SR 14 and the semi-truck was traveling east on SR 14. One of the cars was turning left to go south on South Packerton Road and turned in to the path of the semi-truck. The driver, Mark E. Roser, 67, Wabash, said he could not avoid the collision. Roser was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
A female, age 20, Goshen, the driver in the car that turned in to the path of the semi-truck, was airlifted to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne with severe injuries. Her name is being withheld pending notification of family.
The male driver, age 62, Syracuse, in the second car was struck by the first vehicle after the initial collision. He sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. His name is being withheld pending notification of family members.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Sidney and Silver Lake fire departments and Parkview EMS.
