Walter Theodore Hutchison

Walter Theodore Hutchison, 84, Fairmount, passed away at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester.

He was born Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1936, in Cherry Valley, Ark. to Annie (Guthry) Hutchison and Sam Ray Hutchison. On July 13, 1992, he married Sandra (Spencer) Hutchison, who survives. They were married for 28 years but have been together for 52 years.

Walter attended school at Fairmount High School and in 1953 he enlisted in the U.S. Marines. He served for four years and was honorably discharged. Walter was a professional truck driver with Mayflower Moving and through his job he traveled the entire U.S. Most of all he dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren and will forever be loved and remembered.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Sandra Hutchison, North Manchester; two sons: Richard (Tina) Wright, Marion; Sam (Brandi) Hutchison II, Seymour; three daughters: Vanessa Reedy, Tennessee; Carolann Rodgner Texas; Barbara (Scott) Coffman, Pierceton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Carla Jean Hutchison and Donna Darlene Buck; and two sons, Theadore Dean Hutchison and Walter Brian Hutchison.

No services are planned, the family will mourn Walter’s loss privately. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
