Bids Sought For New Sports Complex In Syracuse

SYRACUSE — Bid documents for the new Syracuse Ball Complex in Syracuse may be requested after 3 p.m. Friday, April 9, from John Kimpel and Associates, Warsaw though Chris McCrea by sending an email to [email protected].
Electronic pdf files of the bid documents will be available free of charge. A hard copy of the bid documents will also be available to review at the Syracuse Town Hall, 310 N. Huntington St., Syracuse, and Syracuse Parks and Recreation Office, 1013 N. Long Drive, Syracuse, during regular business hours.
The Town of Syracuse will be receiving sealed bids for the complete construction of a new sports complex in the conference room located in Syracuse Town Hall. Bids are due by 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 27. The opening of the bids is expected to happen immediately. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 16.
The project consists of the installation of a new football field, which will include concessions, restroom and a storage building, four baseball/softball fields with a concessions building and restroom building; and a basketball court, playground, parking lot and walking path.
Each bid proposal will include all labor, material and services necessary to complete the project in accordance with the drawings and specifications as prepared by John Kimpel and Associates.
A performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price may be required upon notification of the successful bidder prior to the signing of the contract.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance covering workmen’s compensation, public liability and property damage and any other which may be required before the contract can be signed and issued.
