ETNA GREEN — An Etna Green man died in a Sunday night fire in a mobile home.

Emergency personnel were dispatched to a mobile home fire in Etna Green at 11:11 p.m. Sunday, April 11. on South Etna Street.

Neighbors reportedly observed the fire and attempted to make contact with any potential occupants. Once firefighters were able to extinguish the flames and perform an interior search of the residence, they found the deceased body of Arthur J. Peterson, 42.

Some emergency responders remain at the scene boarding up windows and doors of the mobile home.

This incident remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office and the Indiana State Fire Marshal.

Agencies that responded to the fire include Etna Green Fire Department, Atwood Fire Department, Etna Green First Responders, Lutheran EMS, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office and Indiana State Fire Marshal.
