CLAYPOOL — Multiple fire departments responded to a report of a mobile home fire near Claypool Elementary School Friday afternoon, April 23.

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., Claypool Fire Department responded to a report of a house on fire at 6518 S. CR 200W, Claypool.

According to Kosciusko County Beacon GIS, the property is owned by Chad Sampson.

The home appeared to sustain heavy damage to the interior.

There were no initial reports of injuries.

Burket Fire Department, Silver Lake Fire Department, Sidney-Jackson Township Fire Department, Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS, Silver Lake Police Department, and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

The house sustained major damage.

Firefighters from several area departments were called to assist.
