Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 12:52 a.m. Saturday, April 24, East CR 100N east of North CR 300E, Warsaw. Driver: Emily K. Brugh, 26, EMS B38 Lane, Leesburg. Brugh was traveling eastbound on East CR 100N near the intersection of North CR 300E, Warsaw. The vehicle in front of her swerved to miss a deer in the roadway, causing her to swerve to miss that vehicle. Her vehicle left the road and hit a tree. Brugh said she hit her nose and mouth during the collision, but declined EMS services. Damage: Up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 10:10 a.m. Sunday, April 25, US 30 east of Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Kim J. Wolfe, 63, Michigan Road, Goshen. Wolfe was traveling eastbound on US 30 in the area of US 30 and Meijer Drive, Warsaw, when her vehicle hit a turkey. Damage: Up to $2,500.
- 10:18 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2888 Frontage Road, Warsaw. Driver: Rafael V. Patino, 20, East CR 200N, Warsaw. Patino said he was southbound in the BMV parking lot when his BMV instructor told him to park the vehicle in a space next to another vehicle. As he was turning into the space, his vehicle hit the other vehicle. Damage: Up to $2,500.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 9:22 p.m. Sunday, April 25, SR 17 and CR 475N, Rochester. Driver: Cheyenne K. Whitenight, 24, Rochester. Hit deer.
- 7:46 p.m. Sunday, April 25, US 31 and East Olson Road, Rochester. Driver: Alex Wise, no other information available. Hit turkey.
- 6:04 p.m. Sunday, April 25, US 31 and CR 50N, Rochester. Drivers: Thomas G. Potter Jr., 22, Monterey, and Carly M. Szopinski, 25, Nashville, Ill. Potter’s vehicle and Szopinski’s vehicle collided.
- 3:17 p.m. Sunday, April 25, US 31 and CR 375N, Rochester. Drivers: Jason D. Miller, 36, North Manchester, and Sarah N. Davis, 24, South Bend. Davis complained of pain.
