LARWILL — An eastbound car slammed into a semi-tractor trailer that was crossing US 30 west of Larwill late Monday afternoon, April 26.

First responders from multiple departments were called to an accident involving a car and a semi at US 30 and Binkley Road in Larwill.

The semi appeared to be headed northbound on Binkley Road.

Pierceton Fire Department was initially called to assist Whitley County at the scene.

Eastbound traffic was at a standstill as crews worked to clean up the scene and move the two vehicles.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene.

No other details were available.
