Golf results: April 26
Warsaw 161, Triton 178
The Trojans took their clubs on the road to face off with Warsaw at Rozella Ford on Monday evening. Unfortunately for the boys from Bourbon, Warsaw played the role of inhospitable hosts, taking down their guests by a solid 17 strokes.
Tucker Carlile and Jack Yeager each carded a 39 to lead the Tigers’ A-team. Following closely behind were Lewis Turley (41) and Ben Brander (42). Aidan Bowell rounded out the Warsaw varsity with a non-scoring 43.
On the Triton side of the ledger, John Gardner fired a 42, followed by Gavin Butler (44), Bruce Johnson (45), Breylon Wareham (47) and Cole McKinney (49)
The match’s low medalist actually came from the JV circuit with Warsaw’s Jaxson Gould firing a blistering 35 to lead the Tigers’ second team.
Wawasee 174, Fairfield 189, West Noble 192
Maxwelton Golf Club in Syracuse played host to a three-way golf match. The host Warriors topped the team scorecard, beating back non-conference foes Fairfield and West Noble.
Caleb Clevenger finished with a 42 to lead the Warriors.
Wawasee won the JV match, defeating Fairfield 210-228. West Noble did not field a junior squad. Tyler Bosstick led the JV Warriors with a 47.
NorthWood 167, Mishawaka Marian 179
The NorthWood boys golf team traveled to Mishawaka Monday afternoon to take on Marian at Eberhart-Petro Golf Course. Jon Cripe led the way with a 1-over par 37 as the team defeated Marian by a score of 167-179.
Following Cripe were Kyle Cripe (41), Earl Williams (44), Cooper Wiens (46) and Ben Vincent (50)
The JV also defeated Marian by a score of 202-222, led by Ashton Hochstetler’s card of 46.
The Panther varsity squad is now 3-0 in dual matches so far this season and 10-1 overall.
