WARSAW – Per an announcement from Warsaw Sports Information Director Roger Grossman, Warsaw will add another huge name to its non-conference football schedule.
In 2024 and 2025, Warsaw will play a home-and-home series with Warren Central. The 2024 contest will be at Warren Central, the 2025 game at Fisher Field.
Warren Central is one of the true blue blood football programs in the state of Indiana. The Warriors are 9-for-9 in state championships, its last one in 2018, and the program is well-known for its run in the mid-2000s, where it won four straight state titles from 2003-06. Warren is the owner of 20 overall sectional championships.
The Warriors are draped in football history, including nearly a dozen NFL alumni including Jeff George and Darren Evans. Current Purdue wide receiver David Bell, one of the top receivers in the Big 10, was a senior on Warren’s last state championship.
Warsaw announced earlier in the school year it was adding another marquee non-conference matchup for the 2021 season, Dublin Coffman (Ohio), alma mater to former Notre Dame and NFL quarterback Brady Quinn.
The Tigers were 8-3 in 2020 and co-champs of the Northern Lakes Conference. Under Bart Curtis in three seasons, Warsaw is 24-9 overall.
