Wawasee 5, West Noble 0
An efficient win for Wawasee (4-4), which stepped outside for a non-conference tilt Monday in Syracuse.
All five courts on in straight sets, the doubles courts giving up just one game between them. Tate Cowan and Abby Morehead pitched a shutout against Natalie Floes and Angela Pena while Kenley Stewart and Allison Clark won one and zero against Selena Marin and Ashlyn Siegel.
Kiah Farrington also pitched a shutout against Avery Kruger. Kaitlynn Jackson won two and one against Isabella Bartlett and Casey Yankosky completed the run with a three and two result against Tara Gross.
Both Wawasee JV courts won 8-0, achieved by Ella Beezley and Rylee Firestone.
NorthWood 3, Elkhart 2
NorthWood also stepped outside conference play for a contest with the Lions.
One singles and two doubles both won in straight sets for the Panthers, Gabriella Umbower beating Adley Keim two and two, and Paige Henschen and Kate Stillson posting a one, four win against Abby Wolschlager and Raelee Pelletier.
The swing point for the Panthers (5-3) came at one doubles, where Emery Porter and Amy Adams rallied to get past Callan Kubiak and Jessica Dibley 0-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Elkhart’s Jillian Hayward put away Britton Jesse three and three, and Elise Walker won a three-setter against Ashlyn Feller 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.
Elkhart won the JV gauntlet, 8-7. Cate Mathews and Kira Gongwer were singles winners for the Panthers.
Rochester 3, Tippecanoe Valley 2
Rivalry renewed Monday afternoon as Valley traveled down to Rochester for a Three Rivers Conference matchup.
Gigi Engstrand continued her stellar play, by winning in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Picking up the other Valley (4-4) point on the night were Kaitlin Neese and Mackenzie Costello, they were very impressive winning 6-2, 6-1.
Hannah Parson and Peyton Oldham both lost in straight sets, and the two doubles team of Bri Feldman and Kaydence Shepherd also lost in straights.
Valley picked up three courts in the JV contests, Lydia Miller among them in a shutout win.
Triton 5, LaVille 0
A clean slate for the Trojans Monday in a Hoosier North Conference win over the Lancers.
Both Trojan doubles teams were sharp, allowing just one point between the two. Danica Kuntz and Cheyenne Hawley were spotless against Jolie Gonzalez and Makayla Johnson at No.2 and Emma Hepler and Lexia Hostrawser lost just one first-set game to Alaina Kertai and Elaina Franz.
Both Molly McFarland and Lilly Hubert won 6-1, 6-1 against Becka Bower and Lauren Hominiuk and Madeline Ritchison posted a 6-1, 6-2 against Ally Maenhout.
