No Injuries Reported In Cromwell House Fire

CROMWELL — Emergency personnel responded to a house fire at 3095 S. 1200 W., Cromwell, at approximately 9:25 a.m., Monday, May 10. No injuries were reported. The fire remains under investigation.
According to North Webster Fire Chief Jeremy Likens, an occupant of the single-story house “heard a noise” before discovering smoke and flames in the kitchen area.
“We were able to get inside and get a good knockdown on the fire,” said Likens, adding responders found heavy smoke and “a lot of heat” when entering the structure.
Fire departments on the scene included North Webster, Ligonier, Larwill, Sparta Township and Syracuse-Turkey Creek Fire Territory.
