Elizabeth Ellen McNeeley
Elizabeth Ellen McNeeley, 72, Peru, died Monday, May 10, 2021, at her home. She was born Jan. 22, 1949, in Wabash, to Lee Gilbert and Wilma A. (Hawley) McNeeley.
Elizabeth was a 1967 graduate of Wabash High School, was a graduate of the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing, and received her BS Degree in Missions from St. Paul Bible College in Minnesota. She was a registered nurse in Indiana and Minnesota. She was a former member of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Wabash and served as a missionary in West Africa for 12 years. Elizabeth attended Tea at Two Tuesday Bible Study at the Roann Christian Church.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Cooper of Wabash; nieces and nephews, William (Tammy) McNeeley, LaVonne (Rodney) Hancock, and Debra (Greg) Cassel, all of North Manchester; Matthew McNeeley of LaFontaine; Mark Cooper of Peru; Jeffery Cooper of Wabash; Scott (Rhonda) Cooper of Claypool; and April (Harley) O’Neil of Liberty Center; sister-in-law, Sue McNeeley of LaFontaine; and several great and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, William McNeeley.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Friday, May 14, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Donna Stiver officiating. Friends may call 1:30 – 3 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash, at a later date.
Preferred memorial is Elizabeth’s family to help with funeral expenses.
