Raiders Lead The Way In Tennis All-NLC

NAPPANEE – Northridge’s run to a title in the Northern Lakes Conference tournament afforded the Raiders to claim a host of spots on the All-Northern Lakes Conference awards list.
Singles and doubles champions are automatic All-NLC, and three additionals were chosen At-Large All-NLC.
Leading the way for the Raiders are Riley Wheatley, Lilah Dean, Brynne Gayler, Peyton Keiper, Taylin Cress and Morgan Mack all named All-NLC for winning titles at the NLC tournament. Bella Kain of Plymouth also made All-NLC in singles play, and was joined by At-Large selections in teammates Miranda German and Aubrey Vervynckt as well as Goshen’s Lucy Kramer.
Honorable Mentions went to NorthWood’s Gabriella Umbower, Amy Adams and Emery Porter, Goshen’s Joya Drenth and Kathryn Detweiler, Plymouth’s Taylor Delp and Ellie Jones, Wawasee’s Kiah Farrington, Concord’s Rylee Brenneman and Northridge’s Maia Schmucker.
Northridge won the round robin portion of the season at 7-0 and backed it up with a 57-point run through the NLC tournament. Plymouth (6-1) was second in the tournament with 45 points to lay claim to the runner-up spot, and were followed in the final standings by NorthWood (5-2), Goshen (4-3), Concord (2-5), Warsaw (3-4), Wawasee (1-6) and Mishawaka (0-7).
