Warsaw Schools’ Band, Choir Departments Hosting Concerts

WARSAW — The Warsaw Community High School band and choir departments are presenting their spring concerts soon.
Band Spring Concert, 7 p.m. Thursday, May 20
WCHS’s band department will present their concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 20, in the Tiger Den. The concert will feature the WCHS wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, concert band and percussion ensemble performing music ranging from concert band standards to 70s rock legends.
The ensembles are under the direction of Mark Ziegler and Kyle Travis. Masks and social distancing are required. Members of the community are welcome and invited to attend. Contact the WCHS Performing Arts Center at (574) 371-5040 for more information.
Free will donations will be accepted for the band department. All donations go to the band program for the purchase of new uniform pants.
Choir Spring Concert, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25
WCHS’s choral department will present their spring concert “Roar” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, in the WCHS PAC.
The concert will feature the five WCHS choirs performing music ranging from popular songs to Disney and musical theatre. Pieces include “We Will Rock You,” “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Toto’s “Africa” and many more. The WCHS choirs are under the direction of Cassandra Petrie.
Tickets are reserved seating and free of charge. Masks and social distancing are required. Members of the community are welcome and invited to attend. To reserve tickets, contact the Warsaw PAC box office at (574) 371-5040.
Free will donations will be accepted for the choir department. All donations go to the choir program for the purchase of new choral dresses and tuxes, and to assist students in attending a performance at Walt Disney World Resorts next spring break.
