Indiana Jobless Rate Remains 3.9%

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana’s jobless rate held steady during the past month and remains below 4%.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate for Indiana in April was 3.9%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
A year ago, as the pandemic worsened, the unemployment rate in the state was 16.9%.
Other updated jobless rates for surrounding states: 7.1% in Illinois; 4.7% in Kentucky, 4.7% in Ohio and 4.9% in Michigan.
