at Plymouth
Farrington Wins Individual Title
Wawasee’s Kiah Farrington won her first postseason title after beating Plymouth’s Miranda German in the individual final at Plymouth.
Farrington avenged a loss to Miranda during the regular season by posting a 6-4, 6-1 victory over the Plymouth gunner. Farrington advances to the individual regional at LaPorte on June 5.
Wawasee’s one doubles team of Tate Cowan and Abby Morehead gave it their best shot, but fell to the Wabash team of Nicole Gunderman and Anna Cole 6-7 (8), 6-2, 7-5 to conclude their season.
In team action, Peru beat Bremen 3-2 to collect a regional title. The Tigers remain undefeated at 16-0 with wins at one and two singles along with two doubles.
at Northridge
Raiders Win Latest Title
Northridge held its home court with a 4-1 win over Fairfield in the Northridge regional final. The Raiders won all but one singles, where Fairfield’s Addison Mast will continue on in the individual tournament.
No. 16 Northridge will meet No. 6 Homestead this weekend at the Homestead Semi-state.
