Raiders Lead NLC Softball Honors

GOSHEN – Northridge’s superior run through the Northern Lakes Conference had the Raiders headlining the All-Northern Lakes Conference softball awards.
The Raiders, led by Coach of the Year Ray Caples, went 13-1 in the round robin and won the team title. Atop the All-NLC list for the Raiders included Madison Weinert, Makenna Knepp, Abby Hostetler, Jen Robinson, Chloe Gust and Meredith Frey and Tavia Bratt and Grace Lueking were both Honorable Mention to continue the Raider honors list.
Warsaw and Mishawaka tied for second at 11-3 overall. The Tigers had Tori Tackett, Lindsey Bradley and Kali Ousley named All-NLC, and Kendyll Landis and Avery Sleeth earn Honorable Mention All-NLC. The Cavemen had Leah Dawson, Lexi Schlemmer, Gianna Camacho, Machaela Camacho and Jadyn Handley all named All-NLC, and Mikayla Colburn and Ashley German pick up Honorable Mention.
Wawasee (3-11), fresh off its regional appearance, had Kiaundra Olson named All-NLC and Haylee Allen as Honorable Mention.
NorthWood (5-9) had Morgan Jenkins and Halle DeMien as All-NLC and Lili Lomeli as Honorable Mention.
Rounding out the All-NLC honorees were Goshen’s (8-6) Olivia Koshmider, Liz Ramirez and Tyra Marcum, Concord’s (5-9) Ali Moss and Lynnsey Delio and Plymouth’s (0-14) Mia Wojcik.
Honorable Mentions also went to Goshen’s Jenna Roll, Concord’s Emily Bradshaw and Plymouth’s Ann Anders.
