Two Arrested On New Drug Charges After NET43 Executes Warrant
Staff Report
WARSAW — Two people were recently arrested on additional drug charges after the NET43 Drug Task Force went to their home to execute arrest warrants for drug dealing.
Jacob Scott Yeazel, 40; and Alaina Leighan Jacynth Yeazel, 40, both of 504 E. Fort Wayne St., Warsaw, are each charged with dealing in methamphetamine, a level 3 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony; unlawful possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On May 6, the county’s NET43 Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on the Yeazels’ residence. In March and April, the Yeazels sold methamphetamine to an undercover officer.
While searching the residence, officers found various drug paraphernalia, a hypodermic needle, more than seven grams of methamphetamine, and $836 in currency.
Alaina was advised of her Miranda rights and agreed to speak with an officer at the scene. She admitted that prior to NET43 arriving, a man had been at their residence to purchase methamphetamine. Alaina also said that Jacob would travel to South Bend to purchase methamphetamine but he has been unable to do so since he was on home detention.
According to court documents, Alaina said Jacob sells methamphetamine to help them financially. She also admitted to being on home detention and continuing to use methamphetamine, resulting in her failing her last two drug tests.
Jacob Yeazel was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on June 2, with a $20,250 surety and cash bond. Alaina Yeazel was booked in KCJ on May 26, with a $20,250 surety and cash bond.
