Nicki Venable Announces Run For Whitley County Commissioner
News Release
COLUMBIA CITY – Republican Nicki Venable has announced plans to run for Whitley County Commissioner – District 2 in 2022.
Venable has served Allen County for over two decades and is excited and ready to put that same time, energy, and passion into Whitley County, she said in a news release.
“I grew up in Leo – Cedarville, Indiana when the population was less than 1,800 and my husband, Michael, grew up just outside of South Whitley. We moved to Whitley County so that our children could grow up and experience a place where trust, genuine neighbors, and pride in community and Country are valued. It is important that our children witness what strong conservative values can produce. I have always said, when we work together, all things are possible,” she said.
She lives in Thorncreek Township with her husband, Michael, their three children, and Venable’s mother.
She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Indiana University – Fort Wayne, and a Master’s of Science in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She has over twenty years of experience in city and county government, which includes public safety.
“I welcome any and all questions,” she said.
