Daniel F. Chupp
Daniel F. Chupp, 89, Nappanee, died at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2021, at Goshen Hospital.
Daniel was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Etna Green, to Floyd and Mary Ann (Miller) Chupp. Mr. Chupp lived his entire life in the Nappanee area and he married Dorothy Miller on Dec. 27, 1952. She preceded her husband in death Nov. 29, 2014.
Dan served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post #154. He was a member of the First Church of God and enjoyed mushroom hunting.
Dan and Dorothy wintered in Florida for many years and enjoyed traveling, camping, and going to activities with their car club.
Daniel Chupp is survived by a daughter, Toyz-Anne (Scott) Stokes of Nappanee; son-in-law Mike (Deb) Kauffman of Goshen; close friend Bessie Wenger of Wakarusa; three grandchildren, Kent (Stephanie) Kauffman of Benton; Erin (Brent) Berkeypile of Syracuse; and Cali Lane of Montclair, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren: Brandon and Hunter Kauffman and Grady, Elise, Bennett, Wesley, and Kreed Berkeypile; five sisters: Edna Chupp of Nappanee; Katie Bontrager of Shipshewana; Anna Mae (Mel) Stutzman of Etna Green; Elva Helmuth of Nappanee; and Martha (Toby) Yoder of Goshen.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Lana Kauffman and 5 brothers, Elmer, John, William, Emery, and Lamar Chupp.
Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
