Penny Marie Hurd — UPDATED
Penny Marie (Jarvis) Hurd, 66, Etna Green, passed away quietly at 12:27 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Warsaw Meadows Care Center.
Born in Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 2, 1954, Penny was the daughter to Lanzo Blevins and Vicky Austin. Penny proudly earned her GED from Warsaw Community High School in 1993. She was also the proud mother of two daughters and a son along with being a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Penny enjoyed her time in the garden and caring for animals; especially her Pomeranian dog, Baby Girl; but she was happiest when caring for her grandchildren. She was everyone’s favorite grandma and drew everyone in with her laid back, “happy, go lucky” attitude.
Penny is survived by her two daughters: Mary (Patrick) Burleson of Etna Green; and Penny (David) Blake of Warsaw; along with her son, Darwin (Jody) Hurd of Warsaw. Also surviving are her siblings, Larry Blevins of Warsaw; Ann, Lucy, Trisha and Bobby, all living in Ohio.
Warsaw’s Titus Funeral Home is assisting the family. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at God’s Highway to Heaven, 555 Weber St, Warsaw, IN 46580. A service, led by Pastor Bob Brown of God’s Highway, will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
